Seasonal Ayurveda: A monthly class with Mirella Nicholson
As the seasons change, so do the clothes we wear and the foods we eat. Have you ever considered modifying your yoga practice with the seasons?
In this class we will explore how the practice of Ayurveda (the science of life) teaches us how to live in harmony with nature, and what seasonal changes we should consider making in order to maintain a state of balance and optimal health. We will look at how the seasonal applications of Ayurveda apply to our yoga and meditation practices, and each class will focus on specific Ayurvedic terms that will help participants become more aware of what their type is like when in balance and out of balance, and what methodologies to approach according to their needs. Class will include theory, discussion, asana practice, pranayama and meditation based on the dosha.
