Lynn Landes of Wild Foodies of Philly comes to Greensgrow to give a tour of what wild food plants are growing right here on the farm, under our noses and under the radar! We’ll walk to a nearby property as well to see what’s growing in the neighborhood. You’ll have the chance to see, touch and smell wild food plants, essential for learning to identify and safely forage on your own. (No, we won’t be eating the plants growing on the sidewalk.)

Everyone will get a copy of Lynn’s Wild Foodies of Philly Field Guide Handout to help you get started at home.
Learn about the many common edible and medicinal wild plants growing in your neighborhood. She’ll discuss safety; what’s safe to collect and how to properly prepare it and touch on nutrition in wild foods too.
